When my brother and I came across Emily’s website here at letsrockcf.org, we were both very impressed with what she was doing. The reason being, we have used music as a healing and inspirational tool to positively charge our lives and give hope to others. The power that music possesses to unite people and uplift them from all kinds of adversity in life is unparalleled, and is a universal language in which we all speak. It is in that very moment when you are hearing a song that inspires you, and feeling the power within, that you are experiencing utter and complete presence in the moment. It is in this state that no disease or hardships can penetrate, or even exist. It is in that moment that you are healed from what ails you. Bob Marley, the great musician once said “When the music hits, you shall feel no pain.” We have experienced these truths in our own lives, and had the privilege of inspiring others with our music, in theirs. We whole heartedly agree with Emily and letsrockcf.org in its mission to raise awareness and positively influence lives through the power of music. Both being born with Cystic Fibrosis, we knew from a young age that our life path was rooted in music, and would inspire others to be the best they could be. We view having Cystic Fibrosis as a gift and a teacher which has taught us the lessons that have made us the strong people we are today, as well as giving credibility to our message of overcoming adversity, and the infinite potential that we all possess. We came together to create the band “Indubious” which is defined as “undoubtful, or certain of oneself.” In constructing songs of positivity and uplifting messages, we have found our true calling. Our unique outlook is exactly what is giving people hope and giving rise to a whole new way of thinking and living for our fans, who call themselves “Indubians”. “Live Indubiously” has become our motto, meaning living life without doubt and fear and a full respect for all things, good and bad. Letsrockcf.org embodies the type of mentality and concepts that we feel is should be main stream in the CF community.
